Ira Khan Ties Knot in a Dreamy White Gown
After making the couple’s relationship official through registered marriage, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Nupur Shikhare in a traditional Christian ceremony held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding took place on Wednesday, 10th of January 2024. It was an intimate function in the presence of family, relatives, and close friends. Several videos and pictures of the couple’s Christian wedding have gone viral on social media.
On 3rd January, Ira Khan registered marriage with Nupur Shikhare in Mumbai, after which Ira and Nupur had a destination wedding at Aravali Hill Hotel in Udaipur. The couple’s wedding celebration week began with a mehendi ceremony, followed by a dinner night, a pajama party, a football match, and a fun-filled sangeet night. On Wednesday, the couple got married in the presence of their family and friends. In the pictures shared from the occasion by one of the wedding guests, we can see Ira looking lovely in a white bridal gown while her husband on the other hand complemented her in a dapper light yellow suit, accentuating the simplicity and sophistication of the ceremony.
To finish up the look, Ira chose a gorgeous tiara and tied up her hair into a messy bun. Nupur looked sharp in a suit of pale yellow. Actor Aamir Khan, Ira’s father was seen celebrating and engaging in the events of the newlyweds and wiping tears from his eyes. Aamir’s son Azad Rao Khan and ex-wife Kiran Rao were also spotted at the wedding. Reena, Aamir’s first wife, dazzled in a beautiful saree. Friends and relatives showered the couple with flower petals as they made their way down the aisle.
The couple had a special sangeet night on Tuesday. Aamir delivered a special performance during the ceremony and Kiran & Azad also joined him on the stage. While everyone opted for a traditional look, Ira chose to dress herself in an embroidered lehenga with a red cloak reminiscent of Little Red Riding Hood. Nupur was dressed in a suit.
Not only the sangeet, but the family participated in various events along with the sangeet. The couple worked out and played a round of football just a day before their wedding. Aamir Khan also showed off his henna on his palm at their mehendi ceremony. Ira had previously uploaded pics from her Haldi function on her social media before this.
Ira Khan is the daughter of the couple Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, his first wife. Before Nupur asked Ira to marry him last year, the pair had already dating each other for a long period. In 2023, they got engaged and celebrated in Mumbai. On January 3rd, in Mumbai, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare officially became husband and wife in front of their loved ones.
