Hilary Swank Reveals Both Meanings Behind the Names & Photo of Twins
The Oscar accolade holder, Hilary Swank is a mom of two. The actress shared a sneak-a-peek into her life as a twin mom. The celebrity made an appearance on ‘Today’ on Monday, 19th of February 2024. When the co-host of the show, Laura Jarrett, asked Hilary about her journey so far in parenthood and how she decided on her twins’ monikers, Aya and Ohm, Hilary spoke about it for the first time earlier this month. Hilary Swank expressed how she and her husband Philip Schneider thoughtfully decided on each moniker for their twins. That is how they ended up with the beautiful names Aya and Ohm for their daughter and son respectively.
While sharing her thoughts on how they came up with those monikers, Hilary said, “Aya was a Syrian refugee we met in Lebanon. So she was just this courageous, brave young girl full of life going through a really difficult time. My husband and I were like, she’s so beautiful, what a great name. As for son Ohm, ‘Ohm’ is considered the first universal sound and unites all people, and that sounds very fitting.”
Furthermore, Hilary added that her parenthood life so far is loving and going the same way people mentioned it to her and more than that. She said that the moms she met expressed how wonderful and one of the most joyous of their lives to which Hilary said she already has that by having five dogs in the house. The moms then replied to Hilary to have babies, then the celebrity will truly understand the meaning of what they told her. She said the love, once you enter parenthood, keeps on expanding and is joyous and being able to be with the kids feels complete and beautiful.
The star revealed the twins’ names on Valentine’s Day by sharing an adorable photo of the twins enjoying the ocean view while being seated on the sand. Hilary Swank spoke about how these monikers are unusual as they are not the typical ones found on the baby name lists or often heard in the classrooms. The couple wrote down the names of their kids on the sand. The babies were wearing coordinating sunsuits. Baby Aya was seen wearing a pink-coloured one-piece covered in strawberries while Baby Ohm was wearing a blue-coloured one. The babies were wearing identical white hats to shield themselves from sunlight.
Looking back on what she posted back in January 203 New Year’s, she celebrated the event saying her Angel Babies make every day the best day ever. Hilary Swank announced her pregnancy and that she was expecting twins in October 2022, on the show ‘Good Morning America.’
She said to the viewers that this thing was something she had been wanting for a long time and she is stepping into the next chapter of life which is parenthood. She excitedly revealed that she wasn’t just expecting one but two children at a time which is surprising to her.
The star actor from the show ‘The Million Dollar Baby’ and Philip Schneider dated each other for a year before they got engaged in the year 2016. The couple got married in August 2018 and the holy ceremony took place in the Redwoods, located in California.
