Hailey Bieber Adds A Fun Twist on the Preppy Schoolgirl Look

Who says you can’t wear shorts or show a little bit of skin when the cold weather comes knocking at your door? Well, Hailey Bieber is definitely not the one to go by the conventional rules. The American model, who is currently married to Justin Beiber, made sure that she can look absolutely stunning even with minimal fashion look in her latest Instagram update.

The 27-year-old displayed a bold look, beating the cold weather, by donning a preppy schoolgirl outfit from the N°21 Spring/Summer 2024 collection. The wardrobe was styled by Dani Michelle, which included a  blush-toned camisole paired with a delicate white lace bra, completed with a sparkly gold sequin miniskirt. Mrs Beiber added a fun twist to the preppy schoolgirl look by wearing a neckpiece with a huge letter ‘B’ (for Beiber), embellished with diamonds. The fashionista kept the caption short and catchy with “Sugarplum”, but we all know her outfit gave us a major throwback to the young Britney Spears era! At the same time, the iconic outfit also reminded us of Tilda Swinton from The Chronicles of Narnia.

In the meantime, we believe the former ballerina was referencing her caption to a particular scene from The Nutcracker, where the prima ballerina dances to a piece of music. And guess what? Fun fact, Hailey had previously used the BGM from that scene about a month ago on a popular social media platform, TikTok as she showed off her makeup skills while revealing that she was the Sugar Plum Fairy from the classical ballet when she was just 16! She captioned her video, “When I was 16 I was the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker…this is my 2023 version of that makeup. My go-to vibe for the holiday season!”. In the TikTok clip, she is seen applying some glossy, dewy makeup using multiple products and adding some freckles around her nose and cheeks. She ended her makeup routine but outlining her lips with a brown lip pencil, and a lip balm, and accentuating her lashes with mascara.

Although the minimal cloth pieces may not look the most ideal to wear in cold weather, we need not worry because Hailey Rhode incorporated her outfit with a massive faux fur coat from Robert Cavalli to keep her warm. The vintage shaggy fur coat was taken from the 2005 Fall/Winter collection of Robert Cavalli. The oversized shaggy piece is one of the latest fashion statements the Rhode founder wore this week. Not long ago, the socialite enjoyed a weekend escape in Aspen alongside her husband, Justin Bieber, and close friend Kendall Jenner.

During the special evening, Bieber donned a sophisticated long grey shearling coat by Ferragamo, while the wifey decided to sport a neutral outfit paired with a black stiletto boot, black gloves, and a large black feather clutch in contrast. Not forgetting, an iconic rectangular sunglass defined Hailey’s entire outfit presentation and highlighted her with the lady boss aesthetic. The gorgeous boots were from Jimmy Choo. Hailey styled her hair with her usual slicked-back style with a bun and she most probably used her Rhode Skin products to accentuate her beautiful sculpted face, because why not? She completed her simple natural makeup look with a neutral-toned pink lip colour and bushy brows for a super feminine girly look.

We definitely believe that ‘The’ look is her new vibe. Or should we say she is bringing back her previous aesthetic? You know, the clean and neat slick back bun, the natural radiant makeup look with blushed effect and freckles? Looks like it is happening and we are all ready for it!
