Balenciaga’s First Indian Store Now Open at Isha Ambani’s Jio Plaza

Reliance Industries recently launched the Jio World Plaza, in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Jio World Plaza, led by Isha Ambani, has signed off a deal with the Luxurious French Fashion brand Balenciaga which is currently owned by the French Corporation Brand Kering. To bring its high-fashion clothing and accessories to the Indian market, its first international store launched in India at the Jio World Plaza. Reliance Brands Limited or RBL will be the sole partner of Balenciaga in India. 

 Jio World Plaza is a single destination for the world’s high-ended luxury brands such as Dior, Gucci, Louis Vitton, Rolex, Saint Laurent, Versace, Tiffany & Co, and many more. Currently, it has signed off deals with 66 global luxury brands. It also includes the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre and the Jio World Convention Centre along with the Jio World Garden. The Ambani family and group exclusively hosted a grand ceremony and a fashion show event for the opening ceremony of the Jio World Plaza. 

Jio World Plaza’s elevated ground floor space offers you the trendy and latest ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, eyewear, and jewelry on great deals from the luxury brand, Balenciaga. The store follows a raw architecture concept to attract customers. This concept deliberately leaves the surfaces raw with expressive details like simulated corrosion and rough edges. Mirroring the sidewalk tiles, the brushed concrete floors of this store display simplicity with a luxurious aura. Whereas, the walls and shelving units are paneled with stained and aged concrete as well. Grids on the ceiling, industrial lighting from above along with the technical fixtures are exhibited above. On the other hand, aluminum tables, racks hanging above and synthetic leather benches are glazed & shabby to execute a warehouse look.

Managing Director of Reliance Brands, Darshan Mehta expressed his views regarding this saying, “Few brands have embraced the opportunity for creative reinterpretation and reinvention quite like Balenciaga. Their avant-garde and ingenious creations, bold use of the logo, and a consequent cult in the fashion industry have already created a strong footing throughout the world. It’s the most opportune time to introduce the brand to the country as the Indian luxury customer has matured and is using fashion as a form of creative expression of their individuality.”

Jio World Plaza has an edict to launch and build premium brands in the fashion and lifestyle segment. The current portfolio of Jio Plaza’s brand partnerships and deals consists of Clarks, Diesel, Burberry, Armani Exchange, Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Steve Madden, Kate Spade New York, Coach, Emporio Armani, Hamleys, Satya Paul, Superdry, Gas, Dune, Hugo Boss, Sunglass Hut, Pottery Barn Kids, Giorgio Armani, Mothercare, Hunkemoller, Tiffany & Co, Pottery Barn, Versace, Muji, EA7, Raghavendra Rathore, Salvatore Ferragamo among others.

Apart from all these, RBL even has equity investments in Indian couture brands Manish Malhotra and Raghavendra Rathore.

Flagship Store of Louis Vitton

Louis Vitton launched its Fourth and largest store at the Jio Plaza caters to consumer needs by offering ready-to-wear and fine jewelry for the first time. On top of that, it includes a section for leather products, shoes, perfumes, and accessories.  

Cartier and Dior Stores

Cartier launched its second store in the world at Jio World Plaza. At the same time, Christian Dior secured two retail spaces in the plaza which totals up to 3,320 square feet for the inauguration of their second flagship store in Mumbai. 

Gucci Flagship Store

Similarly, on the other hand, Gucci offers you an extensive range of fashionwear that includes ready-to-wear, handbags, jewelry, accessories, shoes, and Gucci Decor items. 

Dazzling Capsule Collection Offered by Jimmy Choo

The third Jimmy Choo store is opened in India at Jio World Plaza offering dazzling pumps, sandals, and clutchbags.

Food Court and Entertainment 

The third level of the buildings welcomes you with an entertainment arena that includes a multiplex theatre and a gourmet food emporium.
