Know All About the Oxford Women’s Leadership Development Program
The University of Oxford is all set to bring you a brand-new program to increase your impact as a woman in a leadership position. According to a study of women CEOs by Oxford Saïd academics, this program is set into action to address most of the barriers women must tackle in order to chase their passion and goals in leadership and management roles. The program is based on keeping these three overarching themes in mind, that is, Self-acceptance, Self-management, and Self-development.
About the Program
The program is designed to make women better prepared to use the tools to navigate challenges and gender biases within the workplace and build crucial leadership skills to effectively guide, influence, and mentor others. Incorporated and assisted with tools and resources for self-management and built plenty of skills to expedite self-development as well as self-acceptance with the acknowledgment of your own agency, you are going to examine your qualities and role as a female leader.
With this program, you will learn to fruitfully browse through the negotiation scenarios using your strengths and influence. The whole program is delivered in collaboration with a digital platform and an education provider called GetSmarter which is a 2U, Inc. brand. The participants will be a part of this dedicated online education program.
Introduction to Oxford Women’s Leadership Development Program
Kathryn Bishop, the Associate Fellow of the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford says that this program is for aspiring women leaders in their respective fields at all stages of their careers, drawing on many years of leadership development experience working with leaders of both genders. This program would bring out some of the topics that the learners would expect, such as negotiating and influencing, and many other things.

Objectives and Aim of this Program

With the ongoing work to increase the impact and influence of women in the field of leadership and management, Women at Oxford Saïd collates together the landscape of development that Oxford is helping to facilitate.
The participants will benefit from everything the Oxford community is offering in this environment Women’s leadership development. The program is rooted in an emphasis on reflection and an approach to delivering within a ‘safe space.’
The curriculum and structure are deeply influenced by the extensive research, framework, tools, and resources including:
- Claiming the corner office (Anathasopolou, Smets, Moss-Cowan, Morris).
- Critical, tame, and wicked problems framework (Keith Grint).
- Strengths-based leadership model (David Pendleton).
- Strategies for influencing (HAY’s taxonomy).
- Six styles of leadership (Goleman).
Faculty under this program
The programming directors of this program are Professor Sue Dopson and Kathryn Bishop. Professor Sue Dopson is the Rhodes Trust Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Professor Kathryn Bishop is an Associate Fellow
at Saïd Business School University of Oxford. The two directors will be joined by leading industry experts and industrialists to share the depth of their knowledge and insight on female development throughout the program such as
Sue Dopson is deputy dean of Saïd Business School, and academic director of both the Oxford Diploma in Organisational Leadership, the Oxford Strategic Leadership program, and the Women Transforming Leadership program. Sue is a noted specialist on the personal and organizational dimensions of leadership and transformational change.
Kathryn Bishop is the program director of the Women Transforming Leadership program at Oxford Saïd. With over 30 years of experience working with organizations undergoing major change, in both the public and the private sector, she also directs and teaches leadership programs for professional service firms and multinational corporations.
